Known the world over, the University of California system is a highly regarded and highly sought after destination for students around the world. It is unique in several ways. First off, you can apply to multiple campuses through the UC app. The deadline is also unique. The platform opens on November 1 and closes on November 30. In almost all cases, you do not submit letters of recommendation and interviews do no occur. Another reason the UCs are unique is that although there are many programs that are on each of the campuses, some schools do not have some majors. Therefore, it is important to select the campuses appropriately. The UC system is public and as such, must take a large amount of their students from California (and 30% of students are transfer students).

Acceptance InfoThe acceptance rates continue to drop at the UC schools, and the race for which school will catch up to the Ivy League admission numbers is tightening. UCLA again sees record numbers of applications which means (unfortunately for most) that the acceptance rate continues to go lower.
