I am a lucky husband and father of two girls. I bleed Green & White as a very proud alumni of Michigan State University, Go Spartans!! I also attended the University of Northern Colorado for my PhD in School Psychology.
I began my career as an international school counselor in Shekou, Shenzhen, China, working with students applying to college. After two years I returned to the USA to work in Colorado Springs, Colorado as a school psychologist while finishing my dissertation. The work was on a military base with children of deployed parents. It was very challenging but rewarding work which inspired me to continue working abroad. I then took a job as a school counselor in South Africa where I spent four years. An opportunity to make a move presented itself and I moved to Doha, Qatar to be a Student Services Coordinator, overseeing ELL, Learning Support, Counseling, and Admissions. Because I desired to work with students more so I created the high school counselor role for colleges and careers counseling at that school. I moved to the American Embassy School in New Delhi, India, to be a high school counselor again. Then I was the university counselor at the American International School of Guangzhou. I now work in Poland. Additionally, I have done several years of independent consulting on college admissions assisting students who wanted extra attention in this area. I read applications each year for the University of California - Los Angeles.
